INFANTILE PARALYSIS

NEW CASES IN MELBOURNE TOTAL OVER EIGHT HUNDRED MELBOURNE, Nov. 16. (Received Nov. 17, at 0.45 a.m.) _ New cases of infantile paralysis yesterday and to-day brought the total to 820. Warmer weather is believed to be the cause of the large daily number of cases. The Premier, Mr A. A. Dunstan. replying to the British Medical Association letter concerning the Kenny treatment, said that representations were made to the Government in favour of giving the treatment a trial in the interests of sufferers. No efforts would be spared. Six nurses are being sent to Sydney for training in the Kenny treatment. On their return clinics may be established in Melbourne.
