AUCKLAND TRANSPORT BOARD

ESTIMATES FOR THE YEAR BUDGETING FOR SMALL DEFICIT (Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND, Nov. 15. The estimates of the finances of the Auckland Transport Board formulated in July by the manager of the board (Mr A. E. Ford) were adopted at a meeting of the board to-day. Expenditure totalling £630,437 is provided for and cash receipts are expected to total £627,754, leaving a deficit at the end of the financial year of £2683. The chairman of the board (Mr H. G. R. Mason) pointed out that the deficit would be about £IO,OOO less than that of £12,183 shown at the close of last year.
