COMMUNITY SING
To-morrow will be held the last midday community sing in the Strand Theatre this season, and the proceeds will be devoted to the Mayoress's Christmas Cheer Fund for Children A special treat is promised for to-mor-row—The Four Blenders, stars of screen, radio, and stage, by kind permission of the manager of the Montague Show, will assist, and they are assured of a great welcome It is hoped that those attending and lis-teners-in will give freely, as every shilling that is handed in will make some child happy Big Brother Bill will be the leader, and Mr Alf. Pettitt the pianist. Mrs Mclntyre. who is in charge of the stall, would be pleased to receive flowers. The grand final night will be held on Monday. November 8, in the Town Hall.
