"It is much better to co-operate than to fight with one another and to say things one will only have to retract afterwards," said the Minister of Marine (Mr P. Eraser), referring to the Auckland-Wellington controversy concerning the merits of their respective harbours as air and shipping terminals. The Minister was speaking at the opening of the Evans Bay (Wel T lington) Yacht and Motor Boat Club's season.
