TRADE AGREEMENT
NEW ZEALAND AND AUSTRALIA NEGOTIATIONS FOR REVISION (Per United Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 23. An announcement that it was the Intention of the New Zealand Government to enter into negotiations with the Australian Government almost immediately with the object of bringing about a revision of the existing trade agreement between the countries was made by the Minister of Industries and Cornmere ; (Mr D. G. Sullivan) this mornl.;g. Mr Sullivan said six months’ notice on either/side was required in order to revise the agreement, and he thought there was little doubt that both sides would be willing to discuss the matter. It was, however, the definite wish of the New Zealand Government to have a revision of the agreement, and it intended to take the initiative.
