DIESEL-POWERED TRAINS
WITHDRAWAL FROM USE IN GERMANY BERLIN, Oct. 22. (Received Oct. 24, at 6.30 p.m.) The sudden withdrawal of eight Diesel-powered expresses, the suc« cess of which has been a feature of Germany’s modern railroads, has OC' casioned surprise. Only four o£ these expresses remain, and the slower steam trains will replace th< others.
“ Working reasons ” is the onlj explanation advanced for the withdrawal.
