COMMUNITY SING
Only two more mid-day sings will be held—next Friday, with Mr H. P. Desmoulins as leader, and the following Friday. The latter will be the special day for the Mayoress’s children’s Christmas cheer fund, under the leadership of Big Brother Bill. The grand final night will be held on Monday, November 8, in the Town Hall. This year the sings have been the best, and listeners-in and those attending have shown their appreciation by their generous contributions. This week it is hoped to give a special item, and this will be announced later on in the week. The sing will be held in the Strand Theatre (by courtesy of Fuller-Hayward) at 12.15 p.m. The proceeds will go to the Mayor’s relief of distress fund.
