WELLINGTON AERO CLUB

RECORD LOSS SUFTCRED GREATER COST OF REPAIRS (Peb United Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept. 16.. "The outstanding thing is the loss we have suffered this year, soma £1900," said the president (Mr T. C. A. Hislop) at to-night's annual meeting of the Wellington Aero Club. "Just as our losses in 193(3 were, I believe, the lowest on record," Mr Hislop continued, " this year they are tha highest. This is due, not to a greater number of crashes, but to the greater cost of repairs." Actually, however, the club had £2617 in cash, Mr Hislop said, but if the club continued to lose much mora it would be in the interesting position of having to sell its planes to get money to fly them.
