CORONATION CEREMONY Following on the successful carnival In aid of the funds to provide new uniforms for the Taieri Highland Pipe Band, the successful queen (Miss Agnes Kovaleski) was crowned with due ceremony in the Coronation Hall, Mosciel, last night in the presence of a crowded audience. Fully 50 persons took part, and the staging and costuming were most elaborate. The incidental music was supplied by the Mosgiel Municipal Band. In addition to the coronation ceremony a short programme of musical and dancing items was provided/those contributing being Mr and Mrs Cate, Mr Thomas Pollock, and the pupils of Miss Kovaleski s Dancing School. . . The nageant was produced by Mr L.. B Borrow. The queen was accompanied by the other princesses in the contest (Miss Alma Hoad and Miss Gwenßenton). Mrs Lobb was Mistress of Robes. Mr A. M'Millan Lord Mayor: Mr A Steven, Lord High Chancellor- Mr S. Gibson, Earl Marshal; and Mr'A. M'Cloy. Director of Ceremonies. The Taieri Highland Pipe Band formed I guard of honour, and Mr I-Ferguson wis standard bearer. In addition to heralds and flower girls, the queen and Princesses were accompanied by thenmaids of honour.
