LAWYER KILLED
OTHER PEOPLE INJURED SENSATION IN CHICAGO ASSAILANTS EXPLANATION (United Press Association) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) CHICAGO, Sept. 15. A disgruntled client shot and killed a former Assistant Attorneygeneral, Mr Elliott, of Illinois, stabbed in the abdomen another lawyer, and injured two stenographers; then surrendered to the police. Mr Elliott was preparing a summons for the assailant in connection with a 10,000-dollar damage suit at the time he was killed. The assailant explained that he was dissatisfied with the manner in which the lawyers were managing claims against his property. He felt they had dissipated a 60,000dollar fortune.
