MARKED ADVANCE IN MANUFACTURE THE DISPLAY AT HENDON (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, June 21. (Received June 22, at 5.5 p.m.) The new type of " Bark " machine, which will be seen at the Royal Air Force display at Hendon on Saturday, represents the very latest production of British aircraft manufacturers. v The precise performance of these machines cannot be disclosed at present, but it is stated that they show marked advances on the types already in service or on order. In addition to light bombers and fighters, the machines on view include new pilotless aircraft for target practice. The new De Havilland Albatross trans-Atlantic aeroplane, which has been designed and constructed for the Air Ministry for experimental flights preparatory to the opening of a regular air mail service across the Atlantic, will also be exhibited. The royal party at the Air Force display will include not only the King "and Queen, but the Duke of Gloucester, the Duke and Duchess of Kent, Prince Arthur of Connaught and Prince and Princess Chichibu of Japan. (Received June 22, at 5.5 p.m.) The Duke of Kent will open the general sessions of the conference of the International Aeronautical Federation, which will begin in London on Wednesday. Delegates from 23 nations will be present, and most of them will attend the Royal Air Force disolay. The aim of the federation is to unite the flying movements of the nations in a common body and to exert an influence to secure uniformity in flying regulations and such reforms as may contribute to smoothness in undertaking international air journeys.
