"DON'T TURN 'EM LOOSE"

A big heart for the criminal and no heart for his victims is often the keynote of modern parole systems, according to the theme of " Don't Turn 'Em Loose," which will be commenced at the Grand Theatre to-day. Cabot, thought by -.his, family to be a prominent young\ engineer, is in reality a gang leader. .The postcards his family receive from- foreign points are mailed by a "mobbie," while Cabot is in gaol. Hoaxed by a clever lawyer the State Parole Board releases Cabot. The next day. with Harry Jans, Addi son Randall and Jenks. Cabot holds up a creamery' and kills the cashier. Shortly afterwards, Cabot returns home, ostensibly from South, America, His family and Louise Latimer, who adores him, are overjoyed. Bored fpr lack of excitement, he breaks into a jewellery store, steals a diamond bracelet and kills the watchman. Soon he returns to the city to give the bracelet to Grace Bradley, his sweetheart, but a detective sergeant, infuriated at the Parole Board's laxity, has been at work.
