MOSGIEL CORPS’ JUBILEE The concluding item in the golden jubilee celebrations of the Mosgiel Corps of the Salvation Army was a concert in the barracks last night, over which Major Calcott presided. The South Dunedin Band and songsters supplied the programme, under Bandmaster M. Carey, as follows: Selection, “The Fighting Spirit,” band; recitation, “ My Marrow,” Miss Rita Fleury; “ The Teddy Bears’Picnic,” Mosgiel Young People’s Party; vocal selection, “My Shepherd,” Songsters; pianoforte solo. Mrs Stevens; vocal solo, Miss Mavis Adams; march, “Yeoman Service,” band; violin solo, Miss Cherie Poulter; vocal anthem, “Fear Thou Not," male party; pianoforte duet, Mrs Captain Jones and Miss Kirkwood; recitation, Mr Dewar; selection, “On to the Conflict,” band; vocal solo, Mrs Envoy Jackson; pianoforte solo, Mrs Stevens; partsong, “ Sunshine in Store,” Song' stersj violin solo, Miss C. Poulter: recitation, “ When the Burglar Came,” Miss Rita Fleury; march “A Victor’s Reward,” band.
Captain Jones, in a comprehensive vote of thanks, acknowledged the services of all who had helped during the celebrations: while he ir turn was thanked and complimented on the success of the jubilee. \
