DROUGHT BROKEN
TOO LATE TO SAVE WHEAT CROP SASKATCHEWAN "DRY BELT" REGINA, June 18. (Received June 19, at 6.30 p.m.) Rain which fell over half the Saskatchewan " dry belt" came too late to save the wheat and also valuable cattle feed. RELIEF MEASURES ORDERED COMMUNITY PASTURES OTTAWA, June 19. (Received June 20, at 7.30 p.m.) The Minister of Agriculture (Mi J. G. Gardiner) is ordering measures for drought relief in Saskatchewan The ruined wheat fields will be converted into community pastures and farmers will move into more suit able areas. Irrigation is planned for pari of the a*ea. The surplus in the wheat pool has been cleaned up and the Minister is expected to announce a fixed price
