MAY BE ABANDONED

HOCKEY TOUR OF AUSTRALIA THE ALTERED ITINERARY ..,- ■■ . . SYDNEY, June 9. Unless the Australian Hockey Association informs the New Zealand Association that it is in accord with the altered itinerary as submitted by the New South Wales Association and New Zealand agrees to the alteration, it appears that the New Zealanders' tour of New South Wales will be in danger of being abandoned. New Zealand previously objected to New South Wales asking for so many matches, and demanded at least two days' rest upon arrival. New Zealand also asked for a two days' spell before the match against Queensland. New South Wales officials have met New Zealand more than halfway, as the first match of the tour, against Orange, has been abandoned. If New Zealand makes any further objection to the New South Wales itinerary, New South Wales officials state that their delegates will certainly be instructed to withdraw from any further participation in the organisation of the tour.
