UTOPIA CLUB DANCE
MASKS AND FANCY DRESS There was a gay scene at the Mat* Town Hall last n ight, when the Utopia Club held a special dance in observance of the King's Birthday. Though fancy dress was optional, there wera many striking and original costumes to be seen. Among some of the best were an aeroplane, a hussar, and a King of Hearts, as well as many others whose origins were a trifle mor« obscure. Music was supplied by th« Savonia Dance Band, whose playing was much appreciated by the dancers, A few masks were in evidence, an<j these imparted r; her an air of mysterj to the proceedings. The dance wa* well patronised, there being a com stant stream of dancers seQking admls* sion during the evening.
