SPECTACULAR PARADE
NAVAL AND MILITARY THE HOLIDAY AT AUCKLAND (Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 9 A spectacular naval and military ceremonial parade was the main feature of the King's Birthday holiday in Auckland Glorious sunshine- prevailed Three thousand men and officeis marched frcm the places of assembly to the inner Domain where, in the march past before 10,000 people, the salute wss taken by Rear-admiral the-Hon E. R Drummond. The ..arade was commanded by Colonel R Miles, D.S.O. officer commanding the Northern Command A large crowd attended the second day of the Great Northern race meeting at Ellerslie, and there were good attendances at the various sporting fixtures.
