THE LABOUR PARTY AND COMMUNISM
ro rut KDiioß Sir,—The relations between the Labour Party and the Communists have reached an interesting stage. We hear of the refusal of the Labour Party to allow the Communist Party to affiliate with it —an official intimation to the general public. But what of the individual? A member of the General Labourers’ Union, after joining the Communist Party, was recently nominated as delegate to the District. Trades Council. Before accepting nomination, this member informed the meeting of his union that he was a member of the Communist Party; but this fact did not prevent his being appointed delegate. It would appear that the Labour Party structure is not free from the Communist “ borer." —I am, etc., Bluff.
