MALLARD DUCKS FROM AMERICA With the object of Improving the strain of mallard ducks in New Zealand and eliminating the domestic mallards Imported In past years, 100 ducks of this breed have been obtained from the wild districts of the United States. The illustration shows portion of the shipment, which reached Auckland recently. The ducks are to be distributed for breeding purposes, mainly in the Auckland district. Some are to be sent to Wellington, and five drakes and one duck have been obtained by a Dunedin breeder (Mr H. G. Williams).
