GOLDEN WEDDING CELEBRATIONS
Mr and Mrs J. F. Kydd, of 42 Moreau street, St. Kilda, are celebrating their golden wedding. Mrs Kydd arrived at Port Chalmers with her parents in the ship Otago in 1869, and Mr Kydd with his parents on the Dunedin in 1879. Mrs Kydd was the daughter of Mr John Rankin, of Maheno. After they were married, Mr and Mrs Kydd resided in Ngapara, North Otago, for 25 years. There are four sons and three daughters of the marriage (three sons and two daughters in Dunedin, one son at Sutherlands and one daughter at Hicks Bay).
