OFFICIAL FORECAST CLOUDY AND MILD The following is the official weather forecast:— Pressure is now high over and east of New Zealand and also over the greater part of Australia, but a depression of moderate intensity covers the south-west and central portions of the Tasman Sea. Indications are for:— Winds—Light to moderate and variable, but northerly to nor'-westerly soon prevailing, later freshening somewhat. Seas—New Zealand Waters—Slight to moderate. —Eastern Tasman Sea—Light to moderate northerly winds, later tending westerly in the southern portion and freshening; seas light to moderate. Weather—For the most part fair and mild, but cloudy at times, with some scattered showers or misty rain at first in eastern areas anil later in western and southern districts of the South Island.'
