ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL
Matches in the local Fletcher Cup competition will be resumed this afternoon. At present High School Old Boys and Mosgiel occuny the leading positions in the order named, and as these teams have been drawn to meet at Logan Park, spectators should witness bright football Players from each club were included in the Otago team which defeated Canterbury last week, and the meeting should provide the best match of the season. The remaining games are Maori Hill v. Morniiigton. at Prospect Park: Seacliff v. Ros-lvn-Wakari, at Ellis Park; and Technical v. Northern, at the Oval. All games will start at 2.45. THE ENGLISH TOUR Officials appointed to control the following matcSes with the English amateur team are:—Against New Zealand, test match at Dunediri. June 5: Referee. Mr W. P. Smith; linesman, Mr A. Riach. Against combined OtagoSouthland team, at Invercargill, June 2: Referee. Mr F. G. Smith: linesman. Mr T. M. M'Murdo.
