BATHROOM TRAGEDY
DEATH OF MOTHER AND CHILD THE CORONER'S FINDING (Per United Press Association) HASTINGS, May 28. An inquiry into the circumstances of the deaths of Mrs Hilda Kathleen M'Leod and her two and a-half years old son, lan Breac Stirling M'Leod, whose bodies were found in the bath room of their residence on Wednesday night, was held this morning, when the district coroner, Mr Ebbett, conducted an inquest. He returned a verdict that Mrs M'Leod, while under very severe nervous distress, died from poisoning self-inflicted, but found that there was insufficient evidence to prove how the child came by its death, and accordingly returned a verdict that it was found drowned in the bath, there being insufficient evidence to show how it came to be there.
