THE NEW ZEALAND FARMER WEEKLY
NEW PUBLICATION Although a weekly paper for farmers is an entirely new departure in New Zealand, the success of the New Zealand Farmer Weekly within only the last two months proves that the service it gives was immediately recognised. The practical farmer, anxious to learn and make the most of his farm, is the man to whom the New Zealand Farmer Weekly is directed. This journal deals with every phase of farm work, including sheep, cows, butter, wool, dogs, fencing, manures, poultry, pigs, veterinary practice, grasses, etc. The articles are written by experienced men, dealing with practical issues in local farming, and every page is of absorbing interest. Illustrations abound in the publication. Some of the chief features in this new paper are the free answers to technical farm questions, the pages of market reports, and prices for all districts in the Dominion, the stud stock announcements, articles on poultry and pigs, and a special section devoted to the breeding of racehorses ,and reports of performances at recent race meetings. For lighter moments there is a page of wrestling news. " The Countrywoman at Home " is the title of a large section of the paper devoted to the interests of country women —stories, recipes, fashions and patterns, and beauty hints. . Odd copies of the paper are sold at 6d each, but the cost of 52 copies posted, throughout the year is only £l, which works out at less than 4|d per week.
