LODGE MEETINGS
The Rescue Lodge, No. 105 (1.0.G.T.), held its weekly meeting in the Oddfellows' Hall, Kensington, on Tuesday last. Chief Templar Bro. E. Brooks, presided over a fair attendance of members. One new member was initiated from the Juvenile branch. Bro. E. Brooks, S.J.W., reported on the Juvenile Temple, and also a letter from the secretary of the new Coronation Lodge, No. 98, thanking the lodge for its congratulations. Bro. T. Dalton. L.D., read a letter from G.C.T. Bro. W. A. lies, who was absent through illness. It was decided to send a letter of sympathy to Bro. W. Fleury and Bro. lies, who were absent through illness. Sis. lies reported that Bro. Wilkinson, of Pride of Waitati Lodge. Bro. Huxfield, of Wellington, and Sis. Morwood (Rescue) had each suffered family bereavements, and deepest sympathy was expressed, the members standing in silence. The Special Effort Committee reported favourable progress, and urged members to be active in this respect. Greetings were also received from Bro. F. Pace, G.S.J.W. The Star of the South Juvenile Temple, No. 15 (1.0.G.T.), held its weekly meeting in the Oddfellows' Hall on Tuesday last. Chief Templar Sis. P. Hollick presided over a large attendance of members, Supt. Bro. E. Brooks being in charge. Three new members were initiated. A vote of sympathy was passed regretting the iilness of Bro. W. Fleury, of the Juvenile Executive. The following committee was formed to arrange special niphts:—Sisters P. Hollick (C.T.). C. Herbert (V.T.), I. Gibbs (P.C.T.). L North.
