OTAGO HUNT
MEET AT NORTH TAIERI Weather permitting, the Otago Hunt Club will hold its weekly meet at North Taieri to-morrow afternoon. Messrs D. Leishman, J. Skinner, D. Connor, and Miller having kindly placed their fine properties at the club's disposal for the run. As this is one of the club's most popular runs, a good attendance of followers and spectators is expected. The start will be from the Taieri side of the Black bridge, and the whole of the hunt may be witnessed from the natural grand stand on the adjoining hillside. Those desirous of witnessing the hunt should go out by the Whare Flat road and take the second turn to the right after crossing the Black bridge. Followers will meet at the starting point at 3.15 p.m.
(Special to Daily Times) AUCKLAND, May 27. The death occurred at Te Awamutu to-day, at the age of 69, of the trainer W, F. Stone, who achieved a good deal of success with Motere, winner of the Auckland Cup in 1930, Supremacy, Stretto, Zircon, and others.
