MOTOR CARS COLLIDE WOMAN SUCCUMBS TO INJURIES (Per United Press Association), AUCKLAND, May 27. i The death occurred in Auckland Hospital this morning of Mrs Ivy Cavenett, aged 40, a resident of. Parnell, who suffered head injuries when a motor car in which she was a passenger was involved in a head-on collision with a tramcar about midnight on Saturday, May 8, on the Great South road. Another passenger in the car, Cyril Francis Green, aged 32, of Ellerslie, who was injured about the head, is in a very serious condition in Auckland Hospital. "' While free-wheeling down a hill on the Great North road on his way to work this morning Thomas Alban Tohill, aged 18, a boot operative residing at New Lynn, collided with a stationary motor truck which contained scrap iron and ploughs. One of the handles of a plough pierced the lad's head and he was killed instantly. There were no witnesses of the aco«' dent. " " ' f - - !
