KAKAPUAKA SCHOOL

HORTICULTURAL SHOW The Kakapuaka School autumn horticultural show was held in the school recently, and the school funds will benefit considerably from the ellort The office-bearers were:—Mrs H. B Flett, president: Mr Mackie, vice-presi-dent; Miss Myra Flett, hon, secretary: and they had the support of a good committee. All sections were well patronised, and in spite of the backward season a good show was the result. The judges were:—Mi Morns Moffat (Te Houka), fruit and vegetables: Mrs G. Guest (Balclutha), pot plants, cut flowers, decorative section, and the industrial work; Mrs P. Mason (Balclutha). baking, butter, preserved fruits and jams Mr G. Maze presented a silver cup to the winner with most points in baking, butter, preserves and jam, and this cup went to Mrs T. Proctor. Most points in all sections were secured by Mrs T. Byers.
