NAZIS AND FASCISTS
NOT WANTED IN RUMAN T A OFFICIAL DECLARATION BUCHAREST. Feb. 16. (Received Feb. 17, at 11.30 p.m.) The Prime Minister, M. Tatarescu, declared in a loudly-applauded parliamentary speech, that the Government would not tolerate Nazi or Fascist interference in Rumanian domestic affairs. The speech followed participation by the German, Italian, Polish, Japanese, Portuguese and Spanish Republican Ministers in the funeral of two Iron Guards, who were killed when fighting for Spain. This was regarded as a breach of diplomatic etiquette, and the funeral developed into a political demonstration owing to an anti-democratic display by the Right Wing elements.
