GOOD TEMPLARY
The Rescue Lodge, No. 105, I. held its weekly meeting in the Oddfellows’ Hall, Kensington, on Tuesday last.* Chief Templar Bro. E. Brooks presided over a large attendance of members. The L.D., Bro. T. Dalton, installed the P.C.T., Bro. W. M'Curdy, and Guard Bro. Thompson. The following were nominated for recommendation to the G.C.T.;—Superintendent of legislative work, Sister Hazelwood; superintendent of juvenile work, Bro. E. Brooks; A superintendent, J. Sister D. Miller. The programme for the evening was “Young Members’ Night.” The following took part:—Competition, won by - Bro. M’Grath; solo, Bro. E. Brooks; duet, Bros. Anderson and R. Morgan; mouth-organ solos, Bro. V. Rowe. A vote of thanks was passed to the retiring officers, P.C.T. and P.S.’s Sister and Bro. Hall. The Star of the South Juvenile Temple, No. 15, 1.0.G.T., held a meeting of officers on Tuesday last. The superintendent, Bro. E. Brooks, presided. It was agreed to reopen the temple on March 2 at 6.30 p.m,, and that the opening take the form of a social evening. The following officers will officiate for the quarter: —Chief templar, Sister Pi Gibbs; vice-templar, Sister P. Hollie; chaplain, Sister Merry; secretary, Sister ■ J. Fuller; A. secretary, Sister P.;Bundo; F. secretary, Sister C. Herbert; marshall, Bro. Leithly; D.M., Sister M. Gibbs; treasurer, Sister D. Miller; guard, Sister Marshall, sentry, Sister D. Fraser; superintendent, Bro. E. Brooks; A. superintendent, Sister Doris Miller. Sister Bundo, sen., was welcomed. The programme for the coming term was then made out and passed.
