Suited by Conditions War Buoy’s owner was practically made a gift of the winning stake for the Paparua Handicap at Addington, for half the field was withdrawn and none of the other half could handle the going, which was very bad indeed. Great Admiral and Red Flier were two others who were given an overwhelming advantage by the conditions, and both won under their own rules. Challenge Cup Winner Horsepower is a sturdy chestnut gelding by Jack Potts from Free Advice, a great pacer by Blue Mountain King from Intaglio, by Logan Pointer —Cameos (dam of Onyx), by Galindo —Thelma.
