This latter appears to be followed by a slight secondary depression, but an antl-cyclono covers south-eastern Australia. Indications are for:. Winds —Rather variable, with north-west to west predominating, • but south-westerly In places, force mainly light to moderate, but freshening at times In exposed positions. Seas—New Zealand Waters —Rather rough to rough at times about Cook Strait, but otherwise slight to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea.—Northerly winds predominating at first, but later west to southwest, force light to fresh: seas rather rough in places, but mainly slight to moderate. Weather—Fine from Hawke’s Bay to East Cape, elsewhere cloudy to overcast and with rain at times In many places, but for the most part light to moderate, and confined principally to western districts from Kawhla southwards; temperatures gradually becoming cooler. COASTWISE MOVEMENTS Holmglcn arrived yesterday from Waikato, and will load and sail to-day for Tlmaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, New Plymouth and Waikato. _ . Walpahl arrived In Dunedin early on Saturday morning, and after loading general cargo will sail this morning for Oaniaru, Tlmaru and Lyttelton to continue loading for Wellington. Nelson and New Plymouth. W’alplatn Is expected to arrive here to-morrow from Auckland, via ports, and will sail later In the day for Tlmaru, Lyttelton, Wellington and Auckland. Waltaki left Auckland at 11 a.m. on Friday for Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. She Is due here on Thursday and will load ami sail the same day for Auckland, via ports. Port Waikato Is due at Dunedin to-morrow from Auckland and Whangarel, and will sail tho same dsy for Tlmaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Tauranga, Auckland and Whangarel. Port Whangarel will reach Dunedin on Wednesday, and will sail the same day for Tlmaru. Lyttelton, Wellington, Plcton and Wanganui. Gale Is expected to arrive at Dunedin on Thursday from Wellington and will load out the same day for Wellington and Wanganui, via ports.
