Dr D. G. M'Millan, M.P., returned from the north on Saturday afternoon. Dr John Fulton, of St. Kilda, returned to Dunedin during the weekend. Mr D. W.,Breen left on Saturday to take up a position in Wellington. Mr J. Hargest, M.P. for Awarua, was a through passenger by the express from Christchurch to Invercargill on Saturday on his return from Wellington.

Mr and Mrs R. S. Black, who have been visiting America, returned from the north by the express on Saturday afternoon. Mr L. O’Halloran, formerly inspector of police at Dunedin, left on Saturday for Auckland, where he will reside. Mr C. B. Bayly, engineer to the Melbourne Dock Trust, who has been on a visit to Dunedin, will leave Bluff by the Marama to-day. Mr W. J Dyment, New Zealand traffic manager of the Canadian National Railways, arrived in Dunedin on Saturday evening. Dr John B. W. Dunlop will leave by this morning’s express for Auckland, where he will join the s.s. Waimana, en route for London. Whilst in London, Dr Dunlop will continue postgraduate study. Captain A. J. Charman. marine superintendent for the South Island of the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company. Ltd., arrived from Christchurch by the afternoon train on Saturday. He met the Waipawa on her arrival at Port Chalmers yesterday. Among the round-trip passengers on the Waipawa, which arrived at Port Chalmers yesterday from London, via Suva, is Mr P. L. Wetherby, formerly of New Zealand, and now on the staff of The Times. London. Sir John Davidson, a director of Dalgety and Co., Ltd., and chairman of directors of the Union Bank of Australia, will arrive at Wellington from Australia 10-day. and will leave on February 10 for the South Island. Mr N. S. Falla, chairman of directors and managing director of the Union Steam Ship Company, arrived in Dunedin by air yesterday on a business visit, and will leave by air for the north on Wednesday. Mr John Macmillan, managing director of the Shaw, Savill , and Albion Shipping Company. Ltd., and the Aberdeen and Commonwealth Line, Ltd., who is at present touring the Dominion. arrived in Dunedin on Saturday afternoon. He is accompanied by his son (Mr D. Macmillan) and Mr W. E. Kevillc. secretary and assistant manager of the two companies. Mr Macmillan will remain in Dunedin until the end of the week, and will return to England on the Tamaroa, sailing on February 26. The parly was met at the station on Saturday by members of the Council of Dunedin Scottish Societies. Mr Macmillan being welcomed on behalf of the members by the president of the council (Mr Albert Wheeler). The Korimako arrived from Ihc north at 1 p.m. on Saturday with Mr A Grant (from Wellington). Dr Stewart. Messrs O. D. Evans, A. Malley, and drivers (from Christchurch), and left the Taieri airport at 8.15 a.m. yesterday for Christchurch, Blenheim, and Palmerston North with four passengers, including Miss O. Aburn (for Nelson), Messrs A. Wheeler and Lawrence (for Wellington). The Karoro arrived at the Taieri airport at 1 p.rn. yesterday from the north with Messrs N. S. Falla, K Neville. G. R. Prescott, Misses H, Dickison, and A, Trengrove (from Christchurch), and Mr R. Otton (from Palmerston North).
