Oats are coming in freely, and the sample and yields are excellent. Duns are better than they have been for some seasons. Some potato crops are ready. Though it is unusually early, in every district crops are looking very well, and heavy yields are expected. Farmers are prepared to accept £3 10s to £3 15s for promr* A fair number of lines of plain cocksfoot has been received. In general, the sample is lighter than usual. The few lines of A'karoa seed that have made their appearance also seem to be light. Prices for ryegrass appear to be too low to tempt farmers.
