TRUSSES DON'T For many years trusses have been recommended as a cure for hernia but thev do not cure. From time to time the sufferer adds to the pad to secure more pressure, with the result that it becomes a disfigurement to the wearer and too burdensome for comfort. As a last resort they take the advice of friends and consult Mr A. W. Martin, the rupture specialist. They discard their heavy truss, secure immediate comfort, and ultimately, in hundreds of cases, have been completely cured. Sufferers from rupture should weigh these matters out and come to the inevitable conclusion that the truss not only does not cure, but instead prevents cure, acting as it does on a wrong principle. Mr A, W. Martin may be consulted at his rooms, Samson's Buildings, Dowling street, daily, 10 to 12 noon. 2 to 5 p.m., Saturdays 10 to 12 noon. A booklet nn rupture and its cure posted free to sufferers,—6.2.37.
