M. Lynn, who for some years has been the general secretary of the association. Miss Isabelle Leather, president of the Senior Council, welcomed the guest of honour and presented her with a bouquet at the beginning of the evening. There was a varied and interesting programme from the different groups—play-read-ing by members of the Drama Circle: songs and instrumental trio by members of the Everygirl Club, and a very amusing " stunt" depicting possible and impossible adventures of the guest of the evening as she travelled to the tropics. This was presented by members of different clubs and gave rise to much merriment. Durine the evening Miss Leather, on behalf of the club groups, expressed their appreciation of Miss Lynn's work in the association, and tV? affection in which all held her. and asked her to accept a travelling clock and hand bag as a small token of all that they felt for her. When Miss Lynn rose to reply, a song appropriate to the occasion, and composed by one of the members, was sung. In a charming speech Miss Ly.nn conveyed her thanks and appreciation for the honour the younger members of the association had given her. and stressed the fact that the friendships and contacts she had made in Dunedin bm greatly enriched her. and that she would alwavs follow the fortunes of the Dunedin Y.W.C.A. with affectionate interest.
