Cricket The senior cricket competition in Eastern Southland at present gives Celtic k lead of three points over'the next highest teams. The leading, team has a total of. 16 competition points from eight wins and one loss, Gore and Waikoikoi haVe each 13 points, and Edievale 10 points. In the junior competition Gore has a lead with 12 points, but the supremacy of the teanvis not definitely established, as High School, having played four fewer matches, has nine points. Then come Wyndham seven points and Celtic six. The long school holiday will probably prevent the High School from completing the series' of matches, the team having established a good record in the games played in the early part of the season.
