QUESTION OF ALLOWANCE MINISTERIAL ANXIETY LONDON, Feb. 4. The Daily Herald's diplomatic correspondent says the question whether the Duke of Windsdr should be granted an annual income from the public funds is creating Ministerial anxiety. The Government's proposal is that the Duke of Wind- * sor's allowance should be included in the new civil list, but it is now evident that this would encounter considerable opposition in the House of Commons, wherefore the Government may be compelled to consider other means. One widely supported suggestion is that the King himself should make private provision for his brother.
