THE WEATHER
The sun shone brightly yesterday, but there was a cool breeze from the north-east and the temperature did not rise above 65 degrees. The barometer remained exceptionally high, the evening reading being 30.30. REPORTS FROM THE NORTH (Special to Daily Times) AUCKLAND, Feb. 4. Fine, sunny weather prevailed today. There was a light southerly wind, which freshened about midday. The temperatures were warm and the barometer was steady at 30.25 inches. WELLINGTON, Feb. 4. The weather was fine but cloudy in the morning, clearing in the afternoon. with a cool northerly breeze. CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 4. The weather to-day was finecloudy in the morning and sunny in the afternoon. A fresh south-south-west breeze in the morning later became very light. The maximum temperature was 62,3 degrees. The barometer was steady at 30.20 inches.
