A TRIPLE CHAMPION MISS NICHOLLS’S LATEST SUCCESS (Per United Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 4. Miss Nicholls, the Wellington au New Zealand Singles champio: added the Canterbury provincii
championship to her successes this afternoon when she beat Miss Thelma Poole (Canterbury), last year’s winner of the title, in an excellent match. The final was postponed from Christmas when the tournament was interrupted by rain. Miss Nichoßs won 6—4, 6—o, and showed re*al championship form Miss Poole was the defender throughout. Miss Nicholls concentrated for the most part in a strong driving attack on Miss Poole’s backhand.
