DUNEDIN REGATTA COMMITTEE

INCREASED MEMBERSHIP DESIRED The matter of outstanding subscriptions and the desirability of obtaining more honorary members was discussed at a meeting of the Dunedin Regatta Committee last, night, Mr S. G. Styche presiding. Mr T. O'Shea said it should be the aim of the committee to increase the membership of the club to a total of 300. Mr W. D. Young said that they were not receiving the support of the clubs as they should. The president sounded a note of warning when he said that if they did not get the members they would have to reduce the prize money at the regatta. In connection with the regatta held in January accounts totalling £69, including prize money, were passed for payment, and it was decided to make arrangements for the holding of a social for the purpose of presenting the cups won.
