THE WEATHER
The weather yesterday was fine but dull, and though the temperature rose to a maximum of 75 degrees, it was much cooler in the latter part of the day. There was a fresh breeze from the south-east. The barometer rose to 30.20. CONDITIONS IN THE NORTH (Special to Daily Times) AUCKLAND. Feb. 3. Fine summer weather was experienced to-day, with a clear sky. a hot sun, and a light, variable wind. The wind settled in the south-west this evening, and the temperatures were warm. The barometer fell slightly to 30.15 at 6 p.m. WELLINGTON, Feb. 3. The weather was very fine to-day. A fresh to strong north-west wind blew in the morning and then gradually declined. The temperatures were warm, the maximum being 66.5 degrees. CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 3. The weather to-day was sunny and warm, with a fresh south-west breeze in the morning and a moderate northeast wind in the afternoon. The maximum temperature was 73.5 degrees. The barometer, after rising, is now steady at 30.16 inches.
