RISE IN WOOL PRICES .PROCEEDS FROM WELLINGTON. SALE (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, Jan. 7. The New Zealand Woolbrokers' Association reports that at the first Wellington wool sale, held on December 9, 30,126 bales were offered, 29,792 were sold and 334 were passed in. The net weight sold was 10,681,7841 b gross, the proceeds £650,663 2s 8d; the average per bale, £2l 16s lOd. and the average per pound 14.619 d. At last season's first sale the realisation was £l2 12s a bale.
