BROADCASTING OF CRICKET
TO THE EDITOR Sir,—l have been a keen listener to radio programmes for about seven years, and have never before been so disgusted as I have for the past week or so with the altogether unwarranted prominence given to cricket results and comments. I feel sure that not 30 per cent, of listeners take the slightest interest in cricket, and to have uninteresting details of the day’s play foisted on them four or five times a day for hours at a time from every YA station shows an extreme lack of consideration on the part of those in control for the other 70 per cent of listeners.—l am, etc., Radio. Dumbarton, January 4.
