FAREWELL BALL IN PIONEER HALL

A farewell ball in honour o£ the senior and graduate students of Dunedin Teachers' Training College was held in the Pioneer Hall on Thursday evening last. The hall was artistically decorated in blue, silver and gold, the college colours, with two large crests adding greatly to the general effect and festoons of balloons and flowers forming a gay setting for the dancers. During the evening Mr D. G. Murray, the retiring president of the Students' Association, on behalf of the seniors and graduates, expressed his thanks to all those staff members and friends of the college who had helped to ensure such a happy and successful year. The newly-elected president, Mr R. T. M'Kelvey, and Mr J. Armstrong, vice-principal of the college,- wished the departing students every success in the future. Mr Carrington, secretary of the Education Board, spoke in appreciation of the work of the staff during the past year and also wished all students a prosperous future.
