LAMBING ESTIMATES

LARGE INCREASES INDICATED STATEMENT BY MINISTER (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON. Dec. 7. Large increases in the Dominion's flocks are indicated in the lambing estimates for the current year. Details were issued to-day by the Minister of Agriculture (Mr Lee Martin). It is estimated that the number of lambs tailed in the North Island totalled 9,322,476, compared with the actual number last year of 8,500,075, The South Island estimate is 7,539,576, compared with last year, 7,196,542. The estimated average lambing percentages this year are: North Island 90.50; South Island 90.10. The Dominion total estimate is 16,862,052, compared with the actual number in 1935 of 15,696,617. _____
