THE WEATHER
The weather yesterdav 'as calm and mild. The sun shone in the morning but the sky was overcast in the afternoon. The maximum temperature was 64 degrees, and the barometer rose to 29.90 in. CONDITIONS IN THE NORTH (Special to Daily Times) AUCKLAND, Dec. 7. Fine cloudy weather prevailed today. There was a moderate to fresh south-westerly wind and conditions were warm. The barometer was steady at 30.21 in. WELLINGTON, Dec. 7. It was a brilliantly fine day in Wellington with a nor'-west breeze which freshened somewhat in the afternoon. The minimum temperature last night was 51.2 degrees, and the maximum to-day 65 degrees. CHRISTCHURCH, Dec. 7. The weather to-day was fine and sunny with a light north-east breeze in the morning and a light north-west in the afternoon. The maximum temperature was 72.5 degrees. The barometer is rising slowly and now registers 30.00 in.
