ARREST OF ENGINEER
GERMANY ALLEGES TRAP PROTEST TO MOSCOW BERLIN, Nov. 22. (Received Nov. 22, at 7.30 p.m.) The official agency announces that. Germany has protested to Moscow regarding the arrest of the German engineer Hans Wicklein, and adds that Wicklein was given drawings of military guns by a Russian engineer, who asked his advice. The police arrived a-quarter of an hour later. Wicklein voluntarily surrendered the drawings, and the police searched the house and discovered typed sheets which were allegedly descriptions of a gun factory, but Wicklein was unaware of their presence in the house.
