MISHAPS IN LANDING
, <&~ TWO AEROPLANES CRASH PILOT SEVERELY INJURED SYDNEY, Nov. 22. (Received Nov. 22, at 6.30 p.m.) A large Avro aeroplane landing after a joy flight at Mascot yesterday, crashed and was wrecked. The pilot, Warren Penny, aged 26, who was well known as a radio announcer, suffered severe head injuries. Mrs Kelly and a youth, Richard Jayden, suffered lacerations and severe shock. , Another aeroplane flying from Brisbane to Sydney crashed in attempting a forced landing at Iluka on the north coast. The machine was badly damaged, but the two Brisbane pilots, Stevens and Coster, escaped with minor injuries.
