NEW OBSERVATION PLANES CONTRACT FOR LARGE NUMBER WASHINGTON, Nov. 19. (Received Nov. 20, at 5.5 p.m.) A contract has been entered into to purchase 120 new type observation planes dosting 3,429,000 dollars from the North American Aviation Company, California,' practically completing the army’s purchase programme under the 1936-37 Budget. The department is now receiving plane deliveries at the rate of two a day and at the close of the fiscal year will have 500 or 600 of the highest efficiency machines.
